OUT - The project
OUT and OUTit Showcase are a key program by Outdoor Arts Italia, designed to promote the excellence of Italian artistic production for public spaces to national and international operators. It serves as an agency for the development and global promotion of Italian creativity in the outdoor arts sector. Through a blend of digital and in-person actions, its core mission is to support artist mobility and expand Italian works into international distribution circuits. The project scouts for innovative proposals from Italian companies and artists, emphasizing professional growth for artists and event organizers, while valuing new languages and experimentation in public spaces. This initiative has evolved from its initial format as FNAS Showcase, previously hosted within the Mirabilia Festival, and is now becoming an autonomous and independent event.
The Showcase project is structured around three main components:

OUT Showcase (In-Person Event)
This is the live presentation part of the program. Formerly part of the Mirabilia Festival, it is now an autonomous sector event, allowing for more focused and curated presentations primarily for professional programmers. Its current base is Collegno, a city recognized for public art, fostering collaborations with local entities like CRAB Teatro, Network Pagliacce, Torino Fringe. This in-person showcase features selected performances, valorizing innovative languages and contemporary experimentation of public spaces.

OUTit Showcase (Online Selection & Promotion)
This leverages the OutIt Platform, a digital environment designed to simplify and enhance the visibility of works and artists. Key online actions include online pitches of artistic projects for national and international operators and company presentations to highlight trends and networks. The platform also offers advanced filtering and matchmaking tools to facilitate quality professional connections.

OUT International (Visibility Windows & Focus Italia)
"Visibility windows" or "Italian focus programs" are curated selections of Italian artistic proposals integrated into general programming of international festivals as Festival Cratère Surface (France), FiraTàrrega (Catalunya, ES), Umore Azoka (Basque Country, ES), Passage Festival (DK). The dual objective is to promote Italian artistic excellence abroad and support artist mobility within global circuits. The project actively supports the mobility of young artists to facilitate their access to international circuits.
Who is this project for?
Artists and Producers
It targets artists, especially those under 35, who are developing innovative outdoor arts projects with artistic languages suitable for internationalization. It offers them the chance to present their work, increasing visibility and facilitating access to production, creation, and distribution circuits.
Programmers and Organizers
This includes international (and national) event and festival organizers interested in discovering and integrating Italian artistic productions into their circuits. The project aims to expand their participation, strengthening the network and ensuring continuous international artistic mobility for Italian works. It also educates national programmers to broaden their perspectives and create optimal conditions for hosting innovative performative proposals.
To receive the latest news, open calls, and invitations to in-person and online events, both artists and organizers are encouraged to subscribe to the Outdoor Arts Italia newsletter.
